Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to all products and services provided by car-keys.lt.

1. Legal Warranty

All products sold on car-keys.lt are covered by a 24-month legal warranty in accordance with applicable European Union consumer protection laws.

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects only that were present at the time of delivery.


2. Key Fob Shells and Housings

Key fob shells and housings are mechanical products intended for replacement use.

The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear
  • worn, faded or damaged rubber buttons
  • scratches, cracks, deformation or discoloration
  • damage caused by impact, pressure or dropping
  • damage caused by moisture, heat or chemicals
  • damage resulting from self-installation, disassembly or reassembly

Mechanical moving parts, including blade release mechanisms, springs and rubber elements, are considered wear parts and are not covered by the warranty after use.


3. Car Keys and Remote Keys

Car keys and remote keys are supplied as physical products only.

Warranty related to functionality applies only if programming was performed by us.

The warranty does not apply if:

  • programming was performed by the customer or any third party
  • an incorrect key, frequency or specification was ordered
  • vehicle compatibility was not verified before ordering
  • programming was attempted using incorrect tools or procedures

We are not responsible for incompatibility caused by incorrect vehicle information, frequency mismatch or unsupported systems.


4. Programming Services

Warranty for programming services is provided only for programming performed directly by us.

Programming services are carried out exclusively in Lithuania.

No programming warranty is provided for products shipped outside Lithuania, unless explicitly agreed in writing prior to purchase.


5. Geographic Scope

We operate and provide services in Lithuania.

Physical products, including key fob shells and car keys, are sold and shipped across the European Union.

Warranty obligations related to programming apply only to services performed locally by us.


6. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • improper use
  • incorrect installation
  • modifications or alterations
  • attempts to repair the product
  • damage occurring after delivery

7. Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, the customer must provide:

  • proof of purchase
  • a clear description of the issue
  • photos or videos upon request

We reserve the right to inspect the product before approving any warranty claim.
